Gather the ingredients
Here’s a list of ingredients you need
- 4 eggs
- 3 tomatoes or half can peeled tomatoes
- 1 onion
- 1 bell pepper
- 4 cloves garlic
- 4 eggs
- 3 hotdogs (optional)
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1 tsp paprika
- 1 tsp cumin
- 1/4 tsp red pepper
- 1 tsp salt
- Handful cilantro

Chop up the veggie and hot dogs (if you want a twist).

Add some olive oil and fry onion and garlic. Then add bell pepper and hotdogs. Next, add all the spices (black pepper, paprika, cumin, red pepper, salt) and cook until the veggies are tender.
Now add peeled fresh or canned tomatoes. The tomatoes will help you make the yummy Shakshuka sauce. Let it come to the boiling point and then cover the pan with a lid and simmer it for 10-15 minutes until it becomes a thick sauce.
Dig a well
Make small wells in the sauce. Make about four holes for each egg. Then pop in the eggs. Make sure to keep the egg-yolk solid. Then put on the lid, turn the flame to low, and let it cook until the eggs are properly cooked. However, make sure that the yolks are running. They taste delicious in Shakshuka. Other than that, it’s up to you. You can also fully cook them. Furthermore, use a handful of cilantro to top it off and serve with bread. Here we served it with garlic bread.
